Time

There are times where I wish I had the bandwidth to write frequently (or at all), because some things just need to be written. Fortunately for me, my Fox wrote what I wanted to shout out to the world today - and as usual, she hits it right on the nose.

USS New York

Yes, I know it's last weeks news, but I couldn't think of a better first post for a blog coming out of Brooklyn, NY. The USS New York, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, is being built with 10 tons of steel from the Trade Center. Navy Secretary Gordon England expressed how I feel about this perfectly in 2002 at the naming for the new vessel:

"From the war for independence through the war on terrorism, which we wage today, the courage and heroism of the people of New York has been an inspiration. USS New York will play an important role in our Navy’s future and will be a fitting tribute to the people of the Empire State"
The full story can be found here, and in case you think an amphibious transport dock is some glorified barge, check out this navy link.
